Bib Overalls is nicknamed for her medium-blue (denim?) overalls with suspenders, a large bib pocket, and large side pockets (probably smaller pockets as well). In addition she wears a baby-blue tee, a necklace with a round pendant, and white sneakers. Her hair is pulled back in a bun, held in place by a wide brown scrunchie. Some images appear to show her wearing small round earrings. Bib Overalls generally has a bright-eyed cheerful demeanor, with an expressive face that shows her emotions.

Bib Overalls is one of the most ubiquitous background characters in the series. It is rare to find an episode in which she does not appear. She knows how to dance, is frequently seen associating with an assortment of other students of any sex or race, and appears at parties. It may be guessed that she is an extrovert. She wore school colors in "The Lost Girls" and is shown attending athletic events, indicating she follows the crowd, is an extrovert, and has "school spirit." "The New Kid" showed that she on the school yearbook staff, though her position there cannot be guessed.
In real-world high schools, students tend to make friends and sit together with those having similar skin colors. This is not the rule at Lawndale High, and Bib Overalls is proof. Taking the Daria show as shown, it is actually rare to see black students congregate in the school. Bib Overalls is rarely seen in the close company of another black student, male or female, though "It Happened One Nut" is an exception.

1. We first see Bib Overalls in "Esteemsters," sitting one row over from Daria and behind her, near the middle of Mr. DeMartino's history class. Hot Shades sits one seat behind Bib Overalls. It appears that Bob sits to Bib Overalls' left (our right).
2. A clearer view of #1 ("Esteemsters"). Note how the artist has cut away all other students and desks except for three.
3. Yet another view of #1 ("Esteemsters"), this time from an angle. Bib Overalls listens as Daria responds to Mr. DeMartino's question.
4. And yet another view of Mr. DeMartino's class in "Esteemsters," from the rear. Bib Overalls is immediately below the U.S. flag.
5. During the auditorium meeting in "Esteemsters" to honor Jane and Daria for "graduating" the self-esteem class, we see Bib Overalls, looking a bit unhappy or bored, sitting next to White Sweater (just above and to the left of The Head's head).
6. Here she is seen dancing at Brittany's party in "The Invitation," at the far left.
7. Talking to Pie Cap at Brittany's party ("The Invitation").
8. Getting a drink (and giving Pie Cap a wide-eyed happy look) at Brittany's party ("The Invitation").
9. An eyewitness who realizes she's too close to the action, when Brittany chews out Kevin for being "unfaithful" in "This Year's Model." Bib Overalls sits next to skateboarder Josh.
10. Bib Overalls listens in class as Jane Lane speaks in "It Happened One Nut."
11. An eyewitness to another event in "The Invitation," when Brittany shows off her modeling style to the Amazon agency in Mrs. Bennett's economics class.
12. Animation error, or she just wanted a change? "Bib Overalls" appears in purple overalls instead of medium blue ones in "A Tree Grows in Lawndale."
13. Bib Overalls is seen on the staff of the LHS yearbook in "The New Kid." As Mr. DeMartino oversees the group, Bib Overalls talks with Andrea on the right.
14. With Tank Top, she goes to the aid of Brittany, who fell over while doing the splits in gym class ("See Jane Run").
15. Using a shoulder carryall for her school things, Bib Overalls joins Quinn's new fans after seeing Daria and Jane's movie in "Monster."
16. Bib Overalls had freshman science class with Daria, with Ms. Barch their teacher ("The Lab Brat"). Bib Overalls sits at a lab table on the far left.
17. Cheering Jane at a track meet in "See Jane Run." Odd that so many people are sitting by themselves and not with others.
18. In the school cafeteria, Bib Overalls talks with x in the background of this image from The Daria Database (supposed in a photo taken by Daria).
19. The first of two interesting images from Is It Fall Yet?: Bib Overalls picks up items in the hallway when her junior year at LHS ends at summer break. Scarlett is at her locker as Jane and Daria walk past, having a tense discussion about Tom and their friendship. The poster above Bib Overalls' head reminds students: "Don't Forget to Return Books."
20. In what is supposedly an "outtake" from Is It Fall Yet?, Jane trips over Daria's foot and falls during the same scene as in #19. Bib Overalls looks on, startled, in this "off-canon canon" image.
21. Val's "secret" visit to LHS sparks Ms. Li to declare that day as School Colors Day, causing many students (but not all) to dress in blue and yellow ("The Lost Girls"). Bib Overalls is on the right, behind the TV reporter. How so many students managed to own clothing in the correct school colors is a mystery, but perhaps Ms. Li mandated it long before.
22. Having lunch (upper left of image) at the LHS cafeteria while Val joins Daria and Jane at a table ("The Lost Girls").
23. Bib Overalls gives Val a passing look in the hallway ("The Lost Girls").
24. It is difficult to see Bib Overalls in the distant background (look halfway between Ms. Li and the left edge of the image) as she watches Jamie get the crap knocked out of him by the Black Knight (Mr. DeMartino) in "Fair Enough."
25.

28. The first of two images showing the soporific effects of the most boring of substitute teachers, Mrs. Stoller ("Lucky Strike"). Bib Overalls struggles for consciousness... but loses and falls asleep at her desk (alternate image).
29. When Mrs. Stoller's chalk squeaks on the chalkboard, Bib Overalls claps her hands over her ears ("Lucky Strike"). The alternate image shows the entire class at the same moment (Mr. DeMartino's history class).
30. Jane is about to discover that Tom and Daria have broken up (Is It College Yet?) Meanwhile, Bib Overalls sits at a booth, eating with Chequers (alternate image).
31. In "Art Burn," the arts and crafts exhibition in a Lawndale park attracts Bib Overalls, in the company of a tall, bearded man holding the hand of a small girl (see alternate image). Could these two be her father and little sister?
