This light blonde girl wears her hair in twin pigtails, hence the nickname. She usually wears a dark gray, button-down jacket; white pants; and a light blue turtleneck sweater. She is of average height, thus taller than Daria. Most images of her show her with a slight smile as if she is in a good mood.
 
Pigtails appeared quite frequently and prominently during season two of Daria. Thereafter, her appearances became rarer.
